Our ranking
Canada's 10 best casino hotels for 2026
Last revised · facts verified
Lots of Canadian casinos have beds nearby. Only a handful are true resorts, where you can sleep, eat, catch a show and play without stepping outside, and those are the ones we ranked. Twelve properties were marked on six criteria, from the rooms themselves to the journey there, and the ten best totals made the list.
The marks are our judgement, built only on what each property and our named sources publish. Not one hotel has paid us, and there's no price at which a spot on this list can be bought.

Each of the ten, up close
Rooms angled at the falls, stacked above a giant gaming floor
Fallsview is the image most Canadians have of a casino hotel, and on paper it earns it. The resort lists 372 rooms oriented toward the falls, a gaming floor where 3,200-plus slots share space with 110 tables, a pair of theatres (the bigger one, the OLG Stage, seats 5,000) and upwards of twenty places to eat and drink. Nowhere else in Canada stacks this much into a single building beside a view like that.

Go if: You want the falls outside the window, a big-name show downstairs and a casino you never have to drive to.
Think twice if: Your plan hinges on a buffet, or your under-12s want to swim unsupervised.
Largest room count in our guide, with Detroit across the water
Caesars Windsor beats every other resort in this guide on size, with 758 rooms in two towers, and most of them face the Detroit skyline over the river. The Colosseum seats 5,000 within 225 feet of the stage, the casino counts 2,000-plus slots and upward of 80 tables, and you're in the middle of downtown rather than out by a highway.

Brand-new mega-resort a few minutes from Pearson
The resort that replaced Casino Woodbine opened in 2023 right beside the racetrack, and it's built big: 400 rooms, a 5,000-capacity theatre, a pool with sauna and steam, free parking and a free shuttle from Pearson. Its operator says no Canadian casino has more slot machines.

Five-star Hilton between two lakes, ten minutes from Parliament Hill
Picture a five-star Hilton plugged straight into a Loto-Québec casino, set between two lakes and about a ten-minute drive from downtown Ottawa. Year-round heated pools inside and out, Amerispa's 17 treatment rooms, a theatre for 1,100 and 1,400-plus slots make this the country's best mix of pampering and play.

Car-free casino resort on the Fraser, seven train minutes from YVR
If you're arriving by plane and don't want a car, River Rock is the answer: its Canada Line station is next door, with YVR seven minutes up the line and downtown Vancouver eighteen. Behind that are 396 rooms (some of the suites are genuinely large), the first Gordon Ramsay Steak in Canada, a water-slide pool and a riverfront marina.

Cottage-country resort with a 5,000-seat stage, halfway through a makeover
Gateway is midway through rebuilding Casino Rama, on Rama First Nation land near Orillia: new-look rooms since 2025, a ground-floor spa, and three fresh restaurants led by Atlas Steak and Fish. The constant is the Entertainment Centre, whose 5,000-plus seats keep pulling GTA drivers up Highway 400.

First full Hard Rock resort in Canada, open since July 2025
Hard Rock's first fully integrated resort in the country welcomed its first guests on July 3, 2025, which makes it the youngest casino hotel we review. Expect 150 rooms (22 are suites), a casino with 1,500-plus slots that never closes, a Council Oak steakhouse and Hard Rock LIVE, with room for 2,200. Guests must be 19 or older everywhere, the hotel included.

Two NHL rinks, Canada's first Hell's Kitchen and a tower on the way
Edmonton's western edge, on Enoch Cree Nation land, is home to a 249-room hotel with an unusual line-up: one of Alberta's largest casinos, Canada's first Gordon Ramsay Hell's Kitchen, two NHL-size rinks and a free shuttle to West Edmonton Mall. An 18-storey tower is rising on site.

Rooms facing the Rockies, right on Calgary's doorstep
On Calgary's south-west edge, the Tsuut'ina Nation owns and operates Grey Eagle, whose 178-room hotel opened in 2014. Certain rooms face the Rockies, the Event Centre seats 2,500 and attracts good acts, and Little Chief is one of the stronger casino kitchens in the West. While renovations continue into 2027, the pool stays closed.

Generous rooms, a pool and pets welcome in Moncton
Big rooms are the surprise at Moncton's Casino New Brunswick: since 2010 its 126 rooms have started at 440 sq ft, with windows that open onto the city or the mountain. Add a pool, an on-site concert hall, free parking and a welcome for pets, and it's the casino stay of choice in Atlantic Canada, with Hopewell Rocks and Magnetic Hill close by.

Reviewed, but outside the ten
Club Regent Casino Hotel
This Canad Inns hotel is joined to Winnipeg's Club Regent Casino and offers 146 smoke-free rooms, roughly 1,200 slots, bingo and an event centre for 1,300. Convenience is the point; glamour isn't.
Cascades Casino Resort
Cascades is Gateway's casino in Langley City, with the 77-room Coast hotel beside it. Come for the steak at ATLAS, round-the-clock gaming and free parking; don't come for a pool or a theatre, because there's neither.
Before you book: common questions
Which Canadian casino hotel is the biggest?
By room count, Caesars Windsor: 758 rooms split between the Augustus and Forum towers.
Where should I stay for a concert weekend?
Four resorts book arena-scale acts: Fallsview, with its OLG Stage for 5,000 plus the Avalon for 1,559; Caesars Windsor, whose Colosseum also holds 5,000; Great Canadian Toronto, where The Theatre takes up to 5,000; and Casino Rama, with more than 5,000 seats.
Can I get to a casino hotel without a car?
Easily, if it's River Rock in Richmond, BC. Hop on the Canada Line and Vancouver's airport is roughly 7 minutes away, downtown roughly 18.
Is there anywhere to swim outdoors in winter?
At Hilton Lac-Leamy in Gatineau, yes: the hotel says its heated pools, inside and out, never close for the season.
